...appreciating it all...over & over...

day 280...

**...in all fairness, i didn't fall asleep i just didn't arrive home until 4:00 am (& partying it up was not the reason) so i decided my brain was not functioning enough to give you anything, which also means you get two of me tonight...i know...i will keep them short & sweet..

"...as we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will...you will have your heart broken probably more than once and it gets harder every time...you'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken...

...you'll fight with your best friend...you'll blame a new love for things an old one did...you'll cry because time is passing too fast, and eventually lose someone you love...so take too many pictures, laugh too hard, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you will never get back..."

a conversation...just when you need it...is like

day 278...

a like a breath of fresh air when the world seems to be suffocating you...

...some times all you need is that one conversation, it may last for 5 seconds or it may last 5 hours...but it is what you need to get to that next moment...i have mentioned about the opportunities we need to grab on and hold on to, those chances where we sit with someone and talk about nothing and those times where we talk about everything are those irreplaceable opportunities...

...those conversations that bring friends together, that allow forgiveness to happen, that send love and appreciation back and forth...where sometimes the act of a conversation is way more important than the actual words coming out of one's mouth...it is where love is spoken and dreams begin, where compromise happens...where advice is given and received...

...it is in a conversation with those that God placed in our lives that we know we are not alone, where the world does not seem like it will conquer us..where we know that those words push us through...where hope lies & love remains...it is in those conversations where we can exist & live...it is in those conversations that make life happen...

pay it forward...

day 277...

...this idea of paying it forward is kind of cool if you really think about it...if we were able to pay it forward to the next person and then the next, and then that caused a ripple effect...this world be a better place...besides you never know...so take a moment and pay it forward...

One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry. He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door.Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water! . She thought he looked hungry so brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it so slowly, and then asked, How much do I owe you?"You don't owe me anything," she replied. "Mother has taught us never to accept pay for a kindness."He said ... "Then I thank you from my heart."As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt stronger physically, but his faith in God and man was strong also. He had been ready to give up and quit. Many year's later that same young woman became critically ill. The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare disease.Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation. When he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes.Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room.Dressed in his doctor's gown he went in to see her. He recognized her at once.He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life. From that day he gave special attention to her case. After a long struggle, the battle was won.Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for approval. He looked at it, then wrote something on the edge, and the bill was sent to her room. She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all. Finally she looked, and something caught her attention on the side of the bill. She read these words ..."Paid in full with one glass of milk"(Signed) Dr. Howard Kelly.Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart prayed: "Thank You,God, that Your love has spread broad through human hearts and hands."There's a saying which goes something like this: Bread cast on the water comes back to you. The good deed you do today may benefit you or someone you love at the least expected time.  If you never see the deed again at least you will have made the world a better place - And, after all, isn't that what life is all about?

do you have something to tell & you can't...PostSecret Project...

day 275...

"...i like to believe that whenever a painful secret ends its trip to my mailbox, a much longer personal journey of healing is beginning -- for all of us..." (--frank warren)

...frank warren (started in 2004 and has received over 10,000 secrets) had a thought for an art project and then he executed his thought...he passed out postcards, left them in random places, & asked people to write their secrets, those they had never told down on the postcard and then mail it back to him anonymously...little did he know he created an outlet for people to share these secrets that have been trapped inside them forever...an outlet to let go of something that caused them pain, or made them happy, or sad...& no one knows, it is completely under the radar so as you are admitting your deepest darkest secrets, you still can remain you...

...http://www.postsecret.com/  -- here is the website...it is also a fascinating book (i was able to borrow from friends:)...

and if you feel the need to say whatever you needed to say and it has had a hold on you and has been sucking you in like a black hole...grab a postcard, create art, and...
write to PostSecret 13345 Copper Ridge Rd. Germantown, MD 20874-3454...

dear mr. Nicholas sparks...seriously

day 274...

(we all know I have a tendency to fall asleep, we chatted about it and now we are moving on...& you arrive at another two-fer)

mr. sparks,

...we all know you can write a good novel, many of us have cried over a page or two and then you went ahead and let them make one of my all time favorites in to a movie, the notebook, but seriously, seriously could you make the guy a jerk, could you let him not be the knight and shining armor...we all know you often introduce one villain but most often it is not the main character...i am not saying this is a bad thing, i am just saying that you kind are giving us hope that those that we choose will stick around when we have alzheimer's, they will want to dance with us in the middle of a road, they will see through the rough exterior only to realize how awesome we are, or they will fall completely in love with us & be able to communicate with us, without us trying to decipher what exactly they are saying...so where i am going with all this...well

...as i go through life trying to find my noah, i am not sure if i should be thanking you for giving me, a hopeFUL romantic, more hope or just driving me more crazy that i have yet to find him...

...ahh well it is fun to live & love through your characters...

so cheers to you for believing in the awesomeness that is love...

sincerely,

your fellow hopeFUL romantic...

“I am nothing special, of this I am sure. I am a common man with common thoughts and I've led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten, but I've loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me, this has always been enough..”
