...we all have a hope that by some chance things will work out the exact way we plan it...but that is not how it always works...we hope and pray that something will work out...or that we get a chance...then we wait with all the hope in the world...
...it can go one way where you feel like you are on cloud 9, like living in a dream....then there are those moments where it never works out...those moments where you hold your head up high, put a smile on your face, and walk away...the one difference you can make at that point is you could never give hope another chance or you could allow hope to keep burning...until that next chance walks in the door...

"the holiday," finding the love in it...
day 318...
...while watching the movie, "the holiday"..I realize several things...first, being we should adopt some British phrases, 'happy christmas', 'fancy that', 'bollocks', 'bugger off,'...& so many others, just sayin' it just sounds better or it could be the accent...
...moving on, each time I watch this movie I think I fall more in love with it...I love the story lines of the different characters...I love that Cameron Diaz is struggling to find how to love, Jude Law is finding his balance in love, Jack Black just wants to love and have someone love him back, and Kate Winslet is trying to mend her broken heart and discover that someone is willing to chase and fall in love with her...
...but it is also about how love can be the most wonderful thing in the world and at the very same time it can destroy your heart...and when loves come into play it can be messy and not make sense...it can also be where love is what one wants but the other person is in another place or just isn't and that is when it hurts where your breath gets caught in your throat and your heart seems like it is falling out of your chest...so why do we do it, because deep down we are all hoping for the Hollywood ending...

just dance (according to my nieces and nephews)

...i had the pleasure of going to visit my brother and sister in-law and their 4 kids...not only do i love playing with them but I also enjoy watching them sing and dance; especially when they play 'just dance' on the wii...now my niece, francesca is obsessed with it and all she wants to do is dance to nanana...

...my nephews decided to play with her and so they come out strong and Francesca, well she provided them with some outstanding back up vocals...
*note...my nephew john, trying to take out Francesca in the beginning and then he points out that song keeps saying the 'a-word'...

...embarrassing moments, did that just happen...
day 315...
...you trip up the stairs, your skirt is caught in your panty hose...you have a booger hanging out of your nose...you fall off a chair for no reason...those are the moments...where you want to shrivel up and die and then later die of laughter (hopefully)...
they are the moments of embarrassment that help us form who we are...I have had my share of falling up steps or chairs but there is one I will never forget...
...'scene, circa 2000, central catholic hs retreat/diversity week...an assembly where the mood is respectful and somber...& I step up to the podium to read a poem...I'm off and start reading, I come to a word, 'crutch' and I say CROTCH well of course I have to fix it and that is where I become mortified...everyone has now realized I have said crotch...assembly is over and I'm destroyed and to add insult to my slip my guy friends yelling crotch as I walk down the hallways or die laughing when they keep saying they know what is on my mind...I wanted to run and hide but then I found the humor (many years later, no just days) in it...& I decided it was funny, it was not the end of the world ...if you can't laugh at yourself then someone else will...

the start of this holiday season with no other than -- mr. CHEVY CHASE...

...this definitely will go on my most favoritest christmas movies ever (post coming at TBD date)...but no holiday season would be complete without ...CHRISTMAS VACATION...so for those of you that are not ready; bring on the HOLIDAYS & when the 24th rolls around & "when Santa squeezes his fat white a*# down that chimney tonight, he's gonna find the jolliest bunch of a*%holes this side of the nuthouse."
