well it started with my apple computer, I bought it because I wanted one and got a great discount because I was a teacher...then it went from there to an iPod which my mom bought me so I could jam;)...recently it was an IPad and as of now I have an iPhone... I am quite literally all "MAC'd" out...mr jobs, may he rest in peace, won me over in every aspect of my life...and has made my life that much easier...thank you for my old as well as my new addictions...

Jane Austen and I could be one in the same...
day 310...
“I do not want people to be very agreeable, as it saves me the trouble of liking them a great deal.”
(Jane Austen)
...I have recently discovered that Jane Austen is my person from another decade...she was a strong minded, independent thinker that wanted an epic romance and in fact fell in love only to have her heart broken...but no matter what she didn't stop living and writing...she turned the stories of her heart into the greatest classics of her time that are still read to this day...if you don't see the parallels I guess the next time we meet I will draw a diagram of the uncanny likeness between us...

...but for now I will keep her in my thoughts as I approach my next chapter in life...

my life according to my big fat greek wedding...
day 309...
...so the movie came out & we all went and saw it...people died of laughter...& some, especially those that come from a big (insert culture) family laughed even harder because it reminded us of our families...and what would it be like if you were to take a peek inside...i cannot even begin to tell you how many times a family member or two has said when describing our family, "you know the movie, my big fat greek wedding, that is us..." so naturally i align myself with a lot of the movies...a few comparisons...
...i have been often referred to as toula, especially when i worked for my brother, who happened to be named nick that owned a restaurant...did i also mention i worked for him way out of college...& then when i decided to leave, he used to say "why you want to leave me..."
...i have a cousin that is very much like aunt voula...
...ask my SIL, kate what her family thought of us when we all started yelling, and arabic dancing...they had fun, but that was quite an adjustment...
...when we have family events, a small group is 40...
...the whole scene of the baptism, i actually did it...oil all over the body, and it wasn't a baby pool but a gigantic plastic tub...just ask kate...
...the looks, the stares the what is wrong with her why isn't she married...
...we literally only have two volumes, loud & louder...
...when we come together, we eat, we laugh, we eat, we talk, we eat...
...we all drive each other nuts & are in each other business but we also have the best & greatest time together...
& in case you need a reminder or want an up close with the fam...see below...
...remember "it's great day to be baptized in the ...orthodox church..."

...if i knew it would be the last time i would be there to share your day, well i'm sure you'll have so many more, so i can let just this one slip away...
...for surely there's always tomorrow to make up for an oversight, and we always get a second chance to make everything right...
...there will always be another day to say our i love you's and certainly there's another chance to say our anything i can do's...
...but just in case i might be wrong and today is all i get, i'd like to say how much i love you and i hope we never forget...
...tomorrow is not promised to anyone, young or old alike...and today may be the last chance you get to hold your loved one tight...
...so if you're waiting for tomorrow why not do it today...for if tomorrow never comes you'll surely regret the day...

...facebook among many of its negatives has some positives...like subjecting you to my blog night after night or seeing pictures of people, or keeping in touch...you know what else is a positive, stalking people especially when they post cool or entertaining things...which as you watch this video, you can thank me for my facebook stalking tendencies...

...on this day...my life is that much better...happy happy MP :)

...today is one of my most favoritest days ever (no, not cause i have now sorted through all my halloween candy and have kept the good ones for me & pawned off the shatty candy)...but because it is my SISTER'S BIRTHDAY!!!
...yes i wrote a little piece about her, circa Jan. 19, 2012...to be exact...but this is the day i celebrate her...& even though this day is about her life...about her being a blessing in other's lives...it is also the day i look up and say thank you to God for giving me my bestest friend in the whole world...who loves me no matter how crazy & blunt i am...who laughs at me when everyone stops thinking i am funny...who lets me sleep with her for entire month after watching 'halloween'...who is always willing to try things first so then i will do it after (i am not a follower but i will follow my sister's footsteps any where)...who can be just there and say everything or say nothing...she is my person...
...& the crazy thing about this day, her day...is that if you know anything about my sister you know, that while i am the loud, over zealous, makes a statement, will someone please stop her sister...she is the one who sits back and makes a statement without the noise...her beauty although very much evident runs throughout her heart...her support for those that she loves & believes in is unwavering...& her gentle spirit is so admirable...she loves & lives with all her heart & soul...
...& as we celebrate 32 years of her life, and whether you are touched by her for all of those 32 years or maybe just 1; you will have known that you have received a great blessing & a gift from God...you will have gotten to experience what i get to experience everyday of my life...her smile, her laughter, her friendship, her love, her passion, her forgiveness, her heart...you will have experienced a huge part of my heart, my seester, marisa...
