...the years of 30 are among us & i have hit the ground running (walking who am i kidding;)...so now as i have hit my goal of blogging for a whole year straight i will continue on my journey just maybe not everyday...so i am back & bloggin' away...& happy to be in my 30s!
...just when life seems to not want to work, God smiles down on us & paints a rainbow in the sky; so we know we are never alone & it will all work out...
...we must not dwell in the past...however i am complete believer in the title of this blog...your past helps define what the future looks like...
...we are like homes, the people, the emotion, the activities, the words that fill the homes and create the memories that remain forever...we see pictures on the wall of past transform us into who we have become in the future...no matter how hard we try these memories, these pictures into the past they can never be erased...they have allowed for us to go forward and become who we are...we have written our own chapters so as to be the makers of our stories...& if we do not include the chapters how will we know where the story will end...
to me --> my chapters, though still are some unwritten have already given me the greatest beginning to my story....
“My Lord God I have no idea where I am going. I do not see the road ahead of me. I cannot know for certain where it will end. Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so.
But I believe that my desire to please you does in fact please you. And I hope that I have that desire in all that I am doing. I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire. And I know that if I do this you will lead me by the right road though I may know nothing about it.
Therefore will I trust you always though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death. I will not fear, for you are ever with me, and you will never leave me to face my perils alone.”
during the course of our life, there are moments to stop, pause, and think...those moments become the commercials in our life...a moment for us to take a reality check & reevaluate how things are going...as is during a commercial some times we think is this show really worth watching or let us check out another show while waiting for the current one to move on...that is when we are less patient with our lives, we keep flipping the channels, so as to try to find the most appealing one to stick with...(ps i am not not nuts, well...no really think about it)...
~a tv show = an episode of your life...
~a commercial = a moment to stop & think, a pause of all things that are going on...do you embrace the moment to breathe or do you...
~flip the channel = sometimes we stick with the program, we just need a quick change & other times we completely abandon what is happening & look for something else that is easier to deal with or more entertaining...
...i think one of the most important lessons i have learned, is take your moments of pause in your life...have your commercials, but let those commercials be moments of smiles, and laughter, moments of peace...let them be just that... a moment to breathe...
...i have included some moments of pause; which i find peaceful...wishing you lifetime of those pauses...
...i am not sure if you heard but the olympics began today (well technically yesterday) in london...
...if you need a recap here is the link...LONDON 2012...
...there were parts that were super cool; this is not the reason why i am writing to tell you & describe to you a ceremony most of you saw or will see via the internet...i am writing b/c i was thinking about all the nations (several of which i have never heard of) that come together for this event to show up to compete to be the best in the world...they come to represent their country...& yes, there is friendly competition...but is there any hate here? each person represents their country and wants to take home a medal and an honor to make their fellow countrymen proud...
...my point is i do not think there is talk about wars, weapons, & whose land is whose...they leave all of it behind & show up to represent, they wear their country's color with pride & put forth their best efforts...maybe the olympics is the one place where peace can exist...and even though it is only 16 days; it exists, and the only thing one wants to be remembered for is how they performed for their country...how they shined wearing the country's colors...how when they return back home, they will be looked upon with admiration...how for those moments they were part of togetherness & peace...
...i think it is significantly important to acknowledge the talent of other individuals...life is about recognizing talent & then surrounding yourself with people who are full of talent...
i feel like i am so incredibly blessed to have met many talented people in my life...so so many people that have exposed me to so many different things, whether it be people who sing, people who dance, people who design, people who teach, & the list goes on...well this week i was super exposed to a person who is a designer, an artist in her own way...she is young & amazingly talented & i love seeing what she comes up with next...i have mentioned her blog but now here she is...designing an all...ms. elyse flynn...
...i love the movie bride wars...not sure why, most likely cause its a no thinking, funny, romantic comedy...
...the basis of the movie is...2 best friends dreamed about having a june wedding at the plaza...and things get messed up and they end up having the same wedding date...spoiler alert it works out...my point in bringing this up is these 2 girls have dreamed about being married since they were little girls... ...i don't remember doing that, i remember playing house, but i also played school, & restaurant...but i never played getting married...fast forward to college, i remembered getting older & thinking i'm way too young to get married... ...by today's standards, as a wise greek man once said, "you are getting old..."...my age is more the average age to tie the knot...rather than the days yonder ago; where people at the average of 18-21 were getting married, having a house & popping out a 7 kids by the of 25...times have changed...in fact the average person now-a-days, will have met their future spouse on a dating website b/c meeting someone the old fashion way is too hard...why is that???
...i have no idea how to any answers of these questions; in fact i have no insight whatsoever...& i am ok with it...when it happens it happens & if it doesn't than that wasn't plan...ohh well, God has something better for me...but i do know somehow it will all work out & one day i might be the girl at the end aisle in the white dress; well maybe...
